Everything under the sun truly has its appointed time and season. Scripture reminds us that there is “a time to plant and a time to harvest” (Ecclesiastes 3:1–2). Life unfolds according to God’s timing, and every moment we are given carries meaning. What we choose to do with each second, minute, and hour matters deeply, because hours become days, days form weeks, weeks shape months, and months eventually define years.
Recently, the Holy Spirit impressed something important upon my heart: if I desire to live purposefully, I must learn to manage my time diligently. Time stewardship is not just a practical discipline—it is a spiritual responsibility. The many goals and callings we hope to fulfill are not accomplished all at once, but through faithful use of the small moments God entrusts to us each day. As the Bible encourages us, “Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity” (Ephesians 5:15–16).
It has been wisely said that time is a common inheritance given to us all; what we do with it reveals who we truly are. Time is like a currency—when spent wisely, it yields lasting profit, but when mismanaged, it leads to loss. Life itself is measured in time, and none of us can afford to treat it casually. Scripture cautions us to “teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom” (Psalm 90:12).
There are many things I long to accomplish for God’s glory, yet I have come to realize that they cannot be achieved without intentional, daily discipline. This understanding has led me to make a personal decision to manage my time more carefully, with greater awareness and purpose.
With a heart of love and concern, I encourage you, dear believer, to value your time. Time is life, and to manage your time well is to manage your life well—unto the honor of God, who has entrusted each moment to us.
