The message is simple

What if all the goals you are chasing are telling a story, but not the main story of your life?

What if the core of your life’s message is missing?

Celebrating five years of growth, discovery, and purpose is something I will never take for granted. I am deeply grateful to God for bringing us this far.

When we began planning this fifth-anniversary celebration, our goals were simple: to come out of hiding, reach more people, tell you more about who we are and what we carry, and ultimately give glory to God. We had a few things planned to help us achieve these goals, and one of them was to go live on Facebook.

But while preparing for our live session, the Holy Spirit asked me a simple question:

“What message are you carrying?”

I had already written down a few things I wanted to share during the live session. I had my points. I knew what I wanted to talk about. But that question changed everything.

Beyond the celebration, beyond the 5 years, beyond the blog, the podcast, the posts, and everything we have built—what is the message we are really carrying?

So today, indulge me as I share with you what we really want to tell the world.

Our message is simple.

The life we live is not ours. We were created by God, and we belong to Him. Therefore, we are called to live in a way that honors the One who gave us life.

We live for God. Scripture reminds us that we were created by Him and for Him (Colossians 1:16), that in Him we live and move and have our being (Acts 17:28), and that our lives are to be presented to Him as an act of worship (Romans 12:1). And because this life is not ultimately ours, we will give an account of how we live it (Romans 14:10–12; 2 Corinthians 5:10).

You are a vessel of honor, created by God to do good works. You are valuable. Your life is valuable to God. He demonstrated the depth of that value by purchasing you through the life and sacrifice of Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 6:19–20; 1 Peter 1:18–19).

Ephesians 2:10 reminds us that we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works—works that God prepared beforehand for us to do. We were created to do good. We were created to shine. Jesus speaks about this in Matthew 5:14–16. Peter also reminds us of our identity and calling in 1 Peter 2:9. But we cannot truly shine while choosing to live in darkness. We cannot reflect the goodness of God while continually practicing what is contrary to His character.

Scripture calls us to walk in the light (1 John 1:5–7), to put away the works of darkness (Romans 13:12–14), and to live as children of light.

The value of our lives should be reflected in the way we live them.

This has been at the heart of our message for the past five years.

We believe that your life is valuable—not merely because of what you can achieve, what you can accumulate, or how the world defines success, but because God created you, God values you, and God has a purpose for your life.

And if our lives carry such great value, then our living should reflect that value.

We were not saved merely to exist. We were saved to live differently (Titus 2:11–14). We are called to walk worthy of the calling we have received (Ephesians 4:1), to bear fruit (John 15:8), and to let our lives point people back to God (Matthew 5:16).

For five years, we have been learning, sharing, growing, discovering, and reminding ourselves and others of this truth: Our living must reflect the value of our life.

That is what we mean when we say: Living the Valued Life.

And this is only the beginning.
