OBEDEINCE AWAY

If we carefully take a look at the many miracles that happened in the bible, we are going to realise that before most of these breakthroughs could happen, an act of obedience preceded.

let’s take a look at some of the miracles that happened in the wilderness when Moses led the people trhough to the promised land.

Right before they left Egypt the Isrealites were asked to kill a lamb, apply the blood on their door post, roast the lamb, get ready to eat the roasted lamb in a rush with their shoes on and finally ask their Egyptian neighbours for gold and other gifts. Before their journey all of these were supposed to be obeyed by the people.

In Exodus 14,  God asked Moses to stretch his hand over the red sea to part it, but even before that God asked the Isrealites to turn from their driection and camp between the red sea and Migdol so that they will be caught in between exactly where the miracle would take place. If they had disobeyed God, there would be no parting of the red sea and Pharoah would’ve probably caught up with them.

In Numbers 21;6-9 when the Lord sent venomous snakes among the Isrealites because they sinned, God instructed that they mount a bronze serpent on a pole for all those who would look up to it to be saved. What happened to those who could’nt look up to it? I’ll tell you; they died.

Now we could go on and on and still find out that there is always an act of obedience that precedes our breakthroughs. That is why I want to tell you that, you must be very careful to obey God especially when he has given you a specific instruction. Sometimes we may even have to ask God what he would have us do as we wait for our breakthroughs and miracles. It would’nt be a suprise if our miracles are being delayed because we are yet to obey and that we are only ” obedience away from our breakthrough”.
