One of the encouraging Bible stories I’ve read is that of the book of Ezra. The story talks about the return of the first exiles to Jerusalem with the purpose of rebuilding the temple of God. What makes this story interesting is the number of times they faced oppositions and how one of those oppositions turned into a breakthrough.
Oppositions are part of everyday life, they are the things, the people or the mindsets that resist us or fight against us. Some oppositions can be very strong and overwhelming which can make you give up.
When the people faced the opposition to the rebuilding of the temple, they became afraid and they could’ve easily given up but because they held on a little more each day, the very plan meant to oppose them became a stepping stone to finishing the temple.
God can use the very things that was meant to destroy us for our own good and that is why He sometimes allows them.
You should learn from this, don’t give up when faced with any oppssition. Keep having faith in your confident hope, be patient and keep praying( Romans 12:12). Don’t stop moving, stick to God and He will cause a breakthrough with the very opposition meant to put you down.
