2 Chronicles 24 tells a beautiful story of how a a young prince was kept safe till he was made king of Judah at age 7. The story continues to tell us how he brought a great reform to Judah and how he rebuilt the temple of God. But everything changed and King Joash became evil after the death of the high priest, Jehoiada.
Obviously the person holding the forte was high priest Jehoiada and when he was no more all his hard work came crashing down. And Judah suffered greatly for this.
Honestly, I was so disappointed in King Joash because I thought he loved God and was willing to serve Him and make the people of Judah serve Him as well.
How well are you established in Christ? King Joash wasn’t well established in God that’s why in the absence of Jehoiada, he turned from God.

Do we all need spiritual fathers to guide us like Jehoiada was to King Joash?
